The other day, I was driving home while listening to the radio I heard my favorite song, not that uncommon for me since I love music, so of course I turned up the volume and started singing the words by heart at the top of my lungs. I can remember being younger and saying "this is my jam" when they finally played the song I had waited all day to hear then the feeling would be gone and another song would come on though I would sing along the excitement and passion was not the same.
In our worship there are times of great excitement and moments of tenderness while bringing our praise to the Father. In Zephaniah 3:17 tells us that "He rejoices over us with singing", it makes you wonder while we're singing to Him does He turn up the volume and declare this is my jam!
It doesn't matter how you feel or even sound for the Father to inhabit your praise!!!!
Ryan that was cool, hey we know God has sense of humor so he probably is saying"THIS IS MY JAM, one thing though how about increasing the font size for those of us on the verge of may be needed glasses, LOL!
ReplyDeleteHey Ryan!! I love this post!! I have my Jam as well!!!! It's one of the songs we sing at Evangle (in the choir). Every time I hear it, I actually say, "This is my Jam".... Way cool!!! Keep up the Worship Girl.. God is changing woman's lives because of your heart and faithfulness to worship!!
